Dr. Makoju Martin Bamidele Ananwurie
Dr. Makoju Martin Bamidele Ananwurie, Mni, is a distinguished former government administrator with an excellent career that culminated in his retirement as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health in Lokoja, Kogi State. Hailing from the Egbirra tribe, Dr. Makoju’s educational journey began at St. Augustine’s College, Kabba, where he demonstrated early leadership potential by serving as Head Boy of his class, graduating in 1970.
He furthered his education at Ahmadu Bello University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration in 1976. Throughout his career, Dr. Makoju has been committed to public service and community development, reflecting the values instilled in him during his formative years.
An esteemed Knight of St. John International, Dr. Makoju is dedicated to his faith and community. He is married, a father, and cherishing family as the cornerstone of his life. Dr. Makoju brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to excellence and integrity to our board.Graduated from A B U Zaria in 1978 as a Veterinarian. After the National service worked as Poultry Manager in then Agric Dev Corporation Ilorin, Rose to the rank of General Manager Kwara State Livestock Company. MSc in Agricultural Development and Research University of East Anglia Norwich, UK 1985/86.
On creation of Kogi State in 1992 transferred to the new State Kogi Stste as first Programme Manager Agric Dev Proj, moved to the Ministry of Agriculture Lokoja as G. M. Agro Allied Project and in 1998 became a Permanent Secretary until retirement in2011.
