SUMMER SCHOOL LESSON COURSE

SACKOBF Leadership Training takes off. John C. Maxwell Leadership Training for Students and Teachers of St. Augustine’s College took off successfully as scheduled on Tuesday, 14th January 2025.
The theme of this 24-lesson course is ‘Developing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today ‘ Recall that the ‘iLead’ course, designed by the John C. Maxwell Foundation to raise young leaders, was ceremonially launched on 10th December, 2024, in the school hall by Mr. Francis Onaiyekan, chairman of the Leadership Committee of SACKOBF. In attendance were students, staff, local government officials, the PTA chairman, principals of neighboring colleges, and a number of alumni resident in Kabba. The iLead course effectively kicked off promptly at 2:30 pm and lasted until 4:00 pm.
16 teachers/instructors were each assigned to oversee a class. The school principal, Mr. Emmanuel Abolusoro, and the foundation administrator, Mr. Peter Ajayi were also actively involved in coordination to ensure a good beginning for this program. 565 students participated using the ‘iChoose iDo’ manual already given free to every participant.

The 24-lesson course will run from 2:30 pm to 4 pm every Tuesday for the next 24 weeks.

The first lesson for this first week is titled ‘Choices.’ It bears an overarching emphasis on everyone’s freedom of choice and how to make right choices for a better life.
